Meeting officially started at 6:45pm
● Pony Club pledge and pledge of allegiance
● Ursula announced the members who rated on Saturday – congrats! (need to get names announced).
● Also mentioned an issue of some comments made re: some members and conditions of their horses
● 1st Quiz practice rescheduled to be held at Gloucester County Library on Sunday,
Jan 15th from 2-4pm (set-up at 1pm).
● Angie Martin gave an overview of what quiz rally is all about:
Classroom, Barn, Stations, Megaroom, Written Test
● Delmarva Regional Quiz Rally Hosted by Small Wonder Pony Club to be held on Saturday, Feb 25th,
Louis, Delaware (close to Rehoboth Beach). Rooms will be reserved at the Comfort Inn,
19210 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach for those who want to go down on Friday night and stay
overnight for quiz rally on Saturday.
● Kristine had all members Introduce themselves
● Schedule for Member Presentations announced
● Each member group is assigned a topic
● New item added to the presentations: each member is to prepare a brief biography about themselves
and introduce themselves before the start of the presentation.
● New buddy system this year: grouping of members with one is a more experienced member (go to person)
and a parent will be assigned (go to parent) Get to know your buddy! For example, know their birthdays
and their horses birthdays – wish them a happy birthday and good luck at a rally or horse show.
● Presentations can be skits, plays, audience participation, use of technology, have handouts, etc.
BE CREATIVE with your presentation Each group is assigned a topic.
● Member groups assigned as follows:
1. Julie P: Angie M, Katelyn F, Kassie, Melissa, Julia
2. Aslinn: Anna W, Ciarra H, Sierra H, Jordyne C, and Abby D
3. Katie Harrell: Gianna B, Prima B, Hannah F, Bella P, Carly D
4. Nicole Farber: Scarlett S, Gianna W, Erica W, Paige C, Brook D
5. Courtney: Casie N, Kenna B, Abby C, Samantha G
● Presentation topics:
Februrary; Aslinn: Immunology and Diseases
March; Courtney: Shoeing and Conformation
April: Katie H: Dentistry
May; Nicole F: Feeding/Nutrition
June: Julie P: Conditioning/Poisonous plants
● Each member group is to come up with a team name for each their group by next month’s meeting

ALL Members: from UR (unrated) to C+’s are expected to attend as many practice’s as possible. Not only is this information important for Quiz Rally, it will also help you for your ratings!! C+ members are encouraged to attend and help since many of you have competed at Nationals for quiz in the past. Please let the host parent know if you will be available to help.
